A 2022 survey conducted by Yampa Valley Pride revealed that 85% of LGBTQIA2S+ respondents felt unsafe in Routt County. With an increasing number of LGBTQIA2S+ visiting and residing here, we must work together to provide a safe and accepting place for those who do not feel included in our community.
To bring the Routt Community together to offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Leadership Steamboat will be hosting events in the beginning of June–This will include a Movie on the Mountain, a Bar night at Barley, and more. These events will be free to attend, and donations will be accepted both during these events, or by contacting the Steamboat Chamber Directly and mentioning the “Leadership Pride Project”.

The Out & Proud Fund will match up to $25,000 in donations toward a resource center, making every dollar you donate worth twice as much!
The Out & Proud Yampa Valley Fund was established at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation in 2022, with a mission to provide funding for organizations, projects, and initiatives which support, advocate for, and advance the LGBTQIA2+ community in the Yampa Valley, its members, and allies.
